How to convert PDF to BMP

Three clicks from a PDF to a clean batch of BMP images.

  1. 1

    Drop your PDF

Drag and drop a PDF into the dropzone. The page count and previews render locally — no upload, no server processing.

  2. 2

    Pick rendering quality

Choose Low (2×), Medium (5×), High (8×), or Very High (15×) to balance file size against detail. Higher quality means larger output files.

  3. 3

    Convert and download BMPs

Hit Convert. Each page becomes its own BMP file. Download a single image, or grab the entire batch as a ZIP archive.

Frequently asked questions

Everything worth knowing before you convert your first PDF.

How do I convert PDF to BMP?

Drop your PDF into the dropzone, pick a rendering quality (Medium is the right default), and click Convert. Each page becomes its own BMP image. For multi-page documents, the result downloads as a ZIP.

What quality should I pick for BMP output?

Low (2×) is fine for thumbnails and previews. Medium (5×) is the right default for most uses — sharp on screen, reasonable file size. High (8×) is for printing or zooming in. Very High (15×) is for archival-grade extraction at the cost of much larger files.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. Rendering happens entirely in your browser. Your PDFs and the generated BMP files never leave your device — safe for confidential documents.

Can I extract specific pages instead of every page?

The PDF to BMP converter renders every page by default. To convert only specific pages, use the Extract Pages tool first to isolate just the pages you need, then convert the resulting smaller PDF.

Why are my BMP files smaller than I expected?

BMP is lossless, but at low quality presets the rasterization itself uses fewer pixels. Bump to High (8×) or Very High (15×) for full detail.

Does BMP support transparency?

BMP doesn't support transparency, so any PDF transparency is flattened to white in the output. For transparent output, choose PDF to PNG or PDF to WebP instead.

Can I convert a password-protected PDF to BMP?

Unlock it first using the Unlock PDF tool (you must know the password), then convert the unlocked copy.

Is there a page count or file size limit?

No fixed cap. Modern browsers convert 100+ page PDFs successfully. Very high quality on long documents may slow processing — drop to Medium for big batches.

What's the maximum rendering scale?

15× (Very High). Beyond that, hardware-accelerated browser canvases hit a 8192- or 16384-pixel-per-side cap and silently downscale. 15× is the highest setting that reliably produces sharp output.
