How do I add a watermark to my photo?
Drop your photo into the dropzone, type your watermark text in the side panel (or double-click the image to add a text mark exactly where you click), drag it to position, adjust opacity to taste, and hit export. The watermarked file downloads instantly.
Can I add multiple watermarks to one image?
Yes. Add as many text watermarks as you need — each is independently positionable, scalable, rotatable, and styleable. Useful for tiling a copyright mark across the image, or combining a brand name in one corner with a URL in another.
What's the right opacity for a watermark?
50–70% is the sweet spot for most use cases — visible enough to deter casual reuse, transparent enough not to ruin the photo. For protective copyright marks across the whole image, drop opacity to 20–35%. For brand stamps in a corner, 80–100% works fine.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Watermarking happens entirely in your browser using HTML Canvas. Files never leave your device — safe for unreleased product photos, client work, and personal images.
Can I add an image / logo as a watermark?
The current tool focuses on text watermarks with full styling control. For image watermarks (e.g., a transparent logo PNG), you can use the full Image Editor at /editor which supports adding image layers.
Will the watermark be removable?
Text watermarks rendered onto a flat image are permanent — there's no separate layer in the output JPG/PNG. They can theoretically be edited out manually in Photoshop, but that's hours of work per image. For deterrence on the open web, that's plenty.
Does the watermark scale with image size?
Yes. Font size is set as a percentage of the image's longest side, so the watermark looks proportionally identical on a 600 px thumbnail and a 6000 px export.
Can I batch-watermark hundreds of images?
The visual watermark editor is designed for precise per-image positioning. For repeating the exact same watermark on many images automatically, use the same settings and re-drop each new image — the watermark configuration persists.
What formats can I watermark?
JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, and TIFF are all supported. Output preserves the original format and resolution. PNG and WebP keep their transparency; JPG flattens to white.
